Russia Calls for Restraint, Warns U.S. Attack on Iran Could Destabilize Middle East

Russia has urged all parties to exercise restraint, warning that a potential U.S. strike on Iran could lead to serious instability in the Middle East. The statement was made on Monday by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during a press briefing.

Commenting on reports that Washington might consider military action against Iran, Peskov said, “Undoubtedly, such a step would be another move on the path to severe destabilization of the region.”

He emphasized that Russia continues efforts to reduce tensions and expects all relevant parties to focus on peaceful dialogue to resolve issues they consider important.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that the United States has been preparing for a possible strike on Iran for the past week, and the preparations may already be complete.

Russia has previously cautioned that any attack on Iran could destabilize the region and has called for diplomatic initiatives to ease tensions.
