Argentine President Javier Milei has reaffirmed his strong support for Israel and the Jewish people, describing himself as "the world's biggest Zionist head of state" during a speech at Yeshiva University in New York.

Addressing an audience at the university on Monday, Milei defended his pro-Israel foreign policy and sharply criticized political theorists who have questioned his stance.

Referring to criticism from libertarian political theorist Hans-Hermann Hoppe, Milei said Hoppe was unhappy because of his unwavering support for Israel. He then declared, to loud applause from the audience, that he was proud to be the world's leading Zionist head of state.

Beyond foreign policy, Milei also outlined his philosophical views, arguing that the three fundamental pillars of Western civilization—life, liberty and private property—are rooted in the Torah and the Bible's Ten Commandments.

Milei, who identifies as an anarcho-capitalist, has long expressed a deep personal interest in Judaism and has frequently sought guidance from Jewish religious leaders. His close alignment with Israel has become a defining feature of his foreign policy since taking office.
