U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that he is the "No. 1" person on TikTok, while pop superstar Taylor Swift ranks 11th. However, publicly available data and platform statistics do not support that assertion.

Speaking at a White House news conference, Trump said newly released figures showed him to be the most popular person on TikTok. During his remarks, he jokingly referred to the platform as "Tik Tack."

However, an infographic Trump shared on his social media platform a day earlier made a more limited claim. It described him as the "most-followed and most-viewed world leader" on TikTok, comparing him only with other global political leaders rather than all users or celebrities.

The infographic did not rank Taylor Swift 11th or include her among the figures being compared.

According to the report, the 425 billion views cited in support of Trump represent the combined number of views for videos and hashtags related to #Trump across TikTok. The figure includes videos posted not only by Trump's official account but also by other users, including content that is supportive, neutral or critical. As a result, the total view count is not considered a direct measure of an individual's popularity on the platform.

Follower counts also differ significantly from Trump's claim. Trump's official TikTok account currently has about 16.7 million followers, while Taylor Swift has approximately 33.5 million, giving the singer roughly twice as many followers as the U.S. president.

More broadly, TikTok's most-followed creator remains Khaby Lame, with more than 160 million followers. He is followed by Charli D'Amelio and MrBeast, who are among the platform's largest creators.

During the news conference, Trump also discussed TikTok's Chinese ownership and potential national security concerns. While available data indicates that he is among the platform's most prominent political leaders, there is no credible public evidence supporting his claim that he is the overall most popular person on TikTok or that Taylor Swift ranks 11th among all users.
