U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran has re-engaged with the United States following the failure of recent talks in Islamabad. According to Trump, Tehran is “very desperate” to reach a deal with Washington.

Speaking about the ongoing deadlock, Trump emphasized that the central issue remains Iran’s nuclear program. He reiterated that Iran would never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. “We have agreed on many things,” he said, while suggesting that differences persist over Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

The talks, mediated by Pakistan, took place in Islamabad last Saturday and lasted approximately 21 hours, concluding on Sunday morning without any agreement.

Following the breakdown in negotiations, tensions escalated further as the United States reportedly imposed a blockade on all Iranian ports on Tuesday.
