Trump Condemns Houthi Escalation in Saudi Arabia as International Airlines Cancel Flights

President Donald Trump expressed strong indignation over the relentless strikes launched by Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group targeting key Saudi airports and energy infrastructure.

The recent high-fatality attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulted in at least thirteen deaths and hundreds of injuries, prompting discussion on whether external military forces might directly assist Saudi Arabia's defensive measures.

Following the sequence of aerial bombardments, major global carriers including Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways announced the immediate cancellation and suspension of operations to Riyadh and Dammām. Authorities confirmed that operations at the capital's main airport will remain halted through Saturday to ensure public safety. Concurrently, fresh shelling by Houthi forces in Yemen's Taiz region caused civilian casualties including young children, further exacerbating the regional crisis.
