July National Charter to be signed on October 15

The July National Charter 2025 will be signed on October 15 at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad.

The signing ceremony will be led by Prof Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of the interim government and chair of the National Consensus Commission.

Representatives from political parties and alliances are expected to attend the event.

The decision was finalised today at a meeting of the National Consensus Commission held at its office in the Parliament complex.

The meeting reviewed expert opinions and feedback gathered from five rounds of discussions with political parties on how to implement the Charter.

The commission expressed hope that, based on these opinions, it will soon submit to the government both the finalised Charter and a set of recommendations outlining its implementation process.

The meeting was attended by commission vice-president Prof Ali Riaz and members Badiul Alam Majumder, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Iftekharuzzaman, and Md Aiyub Mia. Monir Haider, special assistant to the chief adviser, also joined the discussion.
