                                                                                BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that it is the government that must find a way out of the country’s current complex situation and crisis.
On Friday (October 31), he delivered a speech at the conference of the Ganashonghoti Andolon (People’s Solidarity Movement).
Speaking at the event held at the Engineers’ Institution auditorium in the capital, he made the remarks regarding the country’s political situation.
During his speech, he also expressed personal admiration for Jonayed Sakir, the chief coordinator of the Ganashonghoti Andolon. Standing beside Jonayed Sakir, Mirza Fakhrul said:
"I fell in love at first sight with Jonayed Sakir. Seeing his determination, I realized that he genuinely wants to bring about change."
Immediately after making this personal comment, he emphasized the importance of national unity. He said that the people of the country do not accept defeat, and the crisis created by the government and the commission will eventually be resolved.
Mirza Fakhrul called on all political parties to unite the people and confront all conspiracies. He reminded all parties to keep in mind that Bangladesh comes first.
Directly addressing the government, the BNP Secretary General said:
"What has to happen has happened. Solve the problems and move toward elections. Arrange so that we can reach the people."
He reminded the government that it is their responsibility to find a way out of this crisis. He said:
"In the past, we were with you, and we will be in the future as well. But the situation you have created, you yourselves must resolve it."
