The information was shared in a Facebook post by the Inqilab Mancha on Friday evening. The post said the decision to bury Osman Hadi next to Kazi Nazrul Islam was taken in accordance with the wishes of his family. It also noted that his funeral prayer will be held after Zuhr at Manik Mia Avenue.
According to the post, as part of the scheduled program, Osman Hadi’s body will be taken to the Central Mosque in a procession on Saturday. Protesters and members of the public were urged to maintain discipline to ensure that no hostile elements are able to infiltrate or provoke violence.
Osman Hadi’s body arrived in Bangladesh at 5:48pm on Friday aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and was later taken to a mortuary by ambulance.
It may be recalled that Osman Hadi was shot in Bijoynagar on 12 December and, after undergoing prolonged treatment, died in Singapore on Thursday night.
