Ten election vehicles, named the “Super Caravan,” have begun their journey nationwide to campaign for the 13th Parliamentary Election and the referendum on the “July National Charter.”

The Super Caravans were officially inaugurated on Monday at the South Plaza of the National Parliament building. Information and Broadcasting Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed, and the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam were present at the event and marked the occasion by cutting the ribbon.

In a video message during the ceremony, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said Bangladesh is passing through a critical period, noting that the upcoming National Parliamentary Election and the referendum on the implementation of the July National Charter lie ahead.

“With this goal in mind, ten election vehicles—the Super Caravans—have started their journey,” he said. “These vehicles will travel across all 64 districts and 300 upazilas of the country. They will go door-to-door to provide information about the election and referendum, raise awareness of voting rights, and spread the message of democracy.”

The chief adviser emphasized that the right to vote is a constitutional right, not a favor, and a shared responsibility of all citizens.

Describing the Super Caravan as a fleet promoting democracy, he said it would remind citizens that every vote counts and that participation strengthens democracy.

He urged youth, women, and first-time voters to engage in the electoral process and vote to help build a “New Bangladesh.”

The chief adviser concluded by saying: “We want an election where there is no fear or obstacles—only the free and fearless expression of the people’s will. The government is committed to ensuring that environment.”
