Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, has stated that a favorable level playing field currently exists for the upcoming elections. Speaking to reporters on Friday after visiting the Shibbari Temple in Mymensingh, he noted that the electoral atmosphere remains positive.

He emphasized that all political parties, regardless of their size, are enjoying equal opportunities, and no visible incidents have occurred to suggest otherwise.

Earlier in the day, the Press Secretary visited the Bura Pir Mazar on Jubilee Road and the recently attacked Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Kalu Shah (RA) Mazar at Thana Ghat. Regarding the upcoming referendum, he encouraged citizens to participate in large numbers and cast 'Yes' votes. He stated that the goal is to build a Bangladesh free from fascism, where the rights of every individual are upheld, ensuring that the misrule of the past never returns.

On the security of shrines and religious sites, Alam remarked that Bangladesh is a land of communal harmony and that the influence of Sufi saints has shaped its spiritual heritage. He condemned the attacks on shrines under various pretexts, assuring that security measures have been heightened as the morale of the police force continues to strengthen. During his visit, Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Farah Shammi, along with local administration and religious committee leaders, was also present.
