The holy night of Shab-e-Barat will be observed across Bangladesh on Tuesday night in a solemn and reverent atmosphere.
Marking the occasion, the Islamic Foundation has arranged various religious programs at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, including recitation of the Holy Quran, Hamd and Naat, religious sermons, and special prayer gatherings.
The information was confirmed by Muhammad Nizam Uddin, Public Relations Officer of the Islamic Foundation.
He said the Shab-e-Barat programs at Baitul Mukarram will begin after the Maghrib prayers on Tuesday with a Waaz Mahfil. At 6:30 pm local time, Mufti Maulana Nazrul Islam Kasemi, Khatib of Badamtoli Shahzada Lane Jame Mosque in Dhaka, will deliver a sermon highlighting the virtues, importance, and significance of Shab-e-Barat in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith.
At 8:30 pm, Religious Affairs Adviser Dr A F M Khalid Hossain will deliver another sermon focusing on the teachings of Shab-e-Barat, recommended practices, and acts to be avoided, based on Quranic and Hadith references. The session will be presided over by A Salam Khan, Director General of the Islamic Foundation and Senior District and Sessions Judge.
The Baitul Mukarram National Mosque will remain open throughout the night for worshippers to perform individual nafl prayers and engage in zikr and supplications. The programs will conclude with the final munajat after Fajr prayers, led by Maulana Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, Senior Pesh Imam of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
In addition, similar discussion meetings, waaz sessions, and doa mahfils have been organized by the Islamic Foundation at its divisional and district offices, Islamic Mission Centers, and Imam Training Academies across the country to mark the holy occasion.
