The United States Ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent Christensen, has expressed his enthusiasm after spotting American products in Dhaka’s markets ahead of Ramadan.

On Sunday, the ambassador shared a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by several photos of US products available in local markets. A similar post was also published on the Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy Dhaka.

The products highlighted in the post included American dates, almonds, dried fruits, Tang drink mix and fruit juices.

“I’m glad to see American dates, nuts, dried fruits, Tang and fruit juices in the market today,” Ambassador Christensen wrote. “These products are arriving in time for Ramadan iftar preparations, benefiting both Bangladeshi consumers and American farmers.”

The post comes as markets across Dhaka see increased activity during Ramadan, with shoppers purchasing dates and other dried foods commonly consumed during iftar. The ambassador’s remarks underscore ongoing trade ties between Bangladesh and the United States, particularly in the agricultural and consumer goods sectors.
