Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman in Stable Condition After Sudden Illness

Opposition leader and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Shafiqur Rahman, is currently in stable condition after falling ill suddenly on Tuesday.

According to party sources, Dr Rahman became unwell while on his way to attend a programme in the capital. He was scheduled to attend a discussion meeting and iftar gathering as the chief guest in the Shewrapara area, organised by Kafrul West Police Station.

Sources said he suddenly started vomiting during the journey and felt physically weak. Due to the deterioration of his condition, he was unable to attend the event.

Nazrul Islam, personal officer to the Jamaat Ameer, said that Dr Rahman fell ill suddenly and was suffering from vomiting and stomach complications. He is now in stable condition and taking rest.
