Opposition Leader & Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman Pays Tribute at National Memorial

On the occasion of Independence and National Day, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, has paid floral tributes to the martyrs at the National Memorial in Savar.

Early this Thursday morning (March 26), Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, accompanied by senior party leaders, placed a wreath at the altar of the National Memorial.

Following the tribute, the Opposition Leader offered prayers for the salvation of the souls of those who sacrificed their lives in the 1971 Liberation War and sought divine blessings for the nation’s peace and prosperity. Key figures present included Nayeb-e-Ameer ATM Azharul Islam MP, Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar, and Opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam. After the ceremony, Dr. Rahman emphasized the importance of national sovereignty and unity in the current global and regional context.
