U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur has said that relations between the United States and Bangladesh are now more important than ever.
In a message posted on the social media platform X on Friday, Kapur highlighted the growing significance of bilateral ties.
He made the remarks after attending a reception hosted by the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, D.C. to mark Independence Day.
Speaking about his participation, Kapur said he joined the national day reception to discuss bilateral relations. He emphasized that cooperation in areas such as security, trade, governance, and shared values continues to strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
He added that these expanding areas of collaboration are helping make both nations more prosperous and secure.
