Parliament Passes ‘July Martyrs & Warriors Rehabilitation Bill 2026’

In a historic move to uphold the legacy of the mass uprising, the National Parliament has officially passed the "July Martyrs’ Families and July Warriors’ Welfare and Rehabilitation Bill-2026."

Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan moved the landmark bill this Friday (April 10, 2026) at 3:30 PM, aiming to institutionalize the spirit of the July Revolution and ensure comprehensive support for the families of the martyrs and the injured.

The legislation focuses on the rehabilitation of the "July Warriors" and seeks to preserve the authentic history of the movement within the state's national framework. Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal put the bill to a vote, which was passed unanimously by the members of the House. Government officials emphasized that this law will provide a permanent legal basis for the socio-economic security of those who sacrificed their lives and well-being for the nation's second independence.
