Prime Minister Calls on Armed Forces to Uphold National Sovereignty and Constitutional Integrity

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has urged the members of the Armed Forces to rise above partisan interests and remain dedicated to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and the sanctity of the Constitution. The Prime Minister issued these directives during a session held at the 'Senaprangan' auditorium in Dhaka Cantonment on Sunday.

Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Brigadier General (Retd.) A.K.M. Shamsul Islam, the Prime Minister's Defense Advisor, along with the Chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division.

According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Prime Minister lauded the professionalism, discipline, and significant contributions of the Armed Forces in maintaining national security and enhancing Bangladesh's reputation internationally. He particularly commended their role in stabilizing the country's law and order situation since August 2024 and their impeccable execution of the 13th National Parliamentary Elections.

Reaffirming the government's commitment, the Prime Minister assured comprehensive support for the modernization and future capacity building of the military to further its role in national development.

In his concluding remarks, Prime Minister Rahman instructed the personnel to remain steadfast in their commitment to the country through honesty, sacrifice, and professional integrity. He emphasized the importance of maintaining public trust and protecting the nation's democratic framework at any cost.
