During the concluding speech of the 13th National Parliament's first session, Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman reflected on his years in exile, noting that political circumstances had compelled him to live abroad for an extended period.
Recalling his observations of international educational standards, the Prime Minister expressed his vision for a transformed primary education system in Bangladesh. He announced that starting this July, the government will provide school bags, uniforms, and shoes to primary students to ensure a dignified learning environment.
Honoring the martyrs of various historic movements, the Prime Minister emphasized that fulfilling their dreams of freedom of speech and merit-based employment is his administration's top priority. In a landmark move for women's empowerment, he declared that female education would be tuition-free up to the degree level. Addressing the energy crisis, he highlighted the formation of a joint committee incorporating opposition proposals. Furthermore, to bolster the rural economy and support the agricultural sector, the government is prioritizing the distribution of 'Family Cards' and 'Farmer Cards.' He reaffirmed that his government remains transparent and accountable, with the Parliament serving as the guardian of public rights.
