Bangladesh has emerged as the champion at the international coding, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics competition “Codeavour 7.0 International 2026,” held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

According to the results announced on Sunday, young innovator Muhtasim Rahman Bhuiyan and his team secured first place for Bangladesh, defeating competitors from around 20 countries and marking a proud milestone for the nation on the global technology stage.

The winning team represented Armed Police Battalion (APBN) School and College, one of Dhaka’s well-known educational institutions, and brought home this remarkable achievement for the country.

“Codeavour 7.0” is recognized as one of the world’s largest and most prestigious technology-based competitions for school-level students. The main objective of the competition is to inspire young minds to solve real-world problems through coding, robotics, and the effective use of artificial intelligence.

This year’s grand finale in Jakarta featured talented young participants from more than 20 countries, including the United States and several technologically advanced Asian nations. In the highly competitive event, Muhtasim and his team impressed the judges and secured the championship title.

During this historic moment in Indonesia, the principal of APBN School and College, along with the students’ guardians, were present at the venue in Jakarta to encourage and support the team. Their continuous applause and motivation reportedly inspired the young innovators throughout the competition.

The institution’s principal, Mohammad Abul Hossain Sumon Hayat, described the achievement as “a historic and proud moment not only for our school but for the entire country.”

“Competing against teams from 20 countries and seeing our students raise the red-and-green flag as world champions brought tears of joy to our eyes,” he said.

Experts believe this extraordinary victory demonstrates that Bangladeshi students can reach the highest levels of technological excellence when given proper opportunities and guidance. They also expect the achievement to inspire greater interest among school students in coding, robotics, and AI education across the country.

The championship-winning team is expected to receive a grand official reception upon returning to Bangladesh.
