Rare Pink Buffalo ‘Donald Trump’ Becomes Eid Sensation in Bangladesh

Because of its unusual appearance, golden-reddish hair hanging over its forehead, and distinctive body structure, the buffalo has even attracted international media coverage.

On Friday, international news agency Reuters published a special report on the animal under the headline: “Bangladesh’s Rare ‘Donald Trump’ Buffalo Becomes Eid Sensation.”

According to the report, people in Bangladesh are generally familiar with black-colored buffaloes. However, this albino buffalo has a light pink or cream-colored body. Its most striking feature is the tuft of golden hair on its forehead, which closely resembles the famous hairstyle of former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Because of this unusual resemblance, the buffalo was playfully named “Donald Trump.” It has now become the main attraction of the farm, drawing hundreds of visitors every day who come to see the animal and take photos.

The buffalo has previously been featured in several international media outlets, including Reuters, The Independent, The Telegraph, Hindustan Times, and News18.

Ziauddin, owner of Rabeya Agro Farm in Paikpara, Narayanganj, said that his younger brother first noticed the similarity between the buffalo’s hair and Trump’s hairstyle and jokingly gave it the name. They never imagined it would become so popular.

Naming sacrificial animals after celebrities or well-known public figures is not new in Bangladesh. However, this Eid season, the pink buffalo “Donald Trump” from Narayanganj has captured attention not only nationwide but also internationally.
