The United States is committed to further strengthening its relationship with Bangladesh, with a strong emphasis on ensuring a stable and transparent business environment, U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen said on Saturday.

Speaking at an event in Banani, Dhaka, marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, Ambassador Christensen highlighted the growing potential for bilateral cooperation in several key sectors, including technology, pharmaceuticals, the digital economy, and defense.

"We see significant opportunities for the United States and Bangladesh to work together across a range of strategic industries," the ambassador said, underscoring Washington's interest in expanding economic and commercial ties.

Also speaking at the event, Mahadi Amin, an adviser to the Prime Minister, said Bangladesh seeks continued U.S. support in promoting inclusive democratic development.

He added that the government is formulating business-friendly policies to encourage greater foreign investment and create more employment opportunities across the country.

The celebration concluded with a cultural program commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence and highlighting the longstanding partnership between Bangladesh and the United States.
