US Embassy Warns Foreign Students of Possible Visa Cancellation

The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has warned foreign students studying in the United States that their student visas could be cancelled if they fail to comply with the conditions of their visas.

The embassy issued the warning in a social media post on Saturday, saying students could face visa cancellation if they discontinue their studies, remain absent from classes, or leave their academic programme without informing their educational institution.

“If you stop studying, miss classes, or withdraw from your programme without notifying your school, your student visa could be cancelled and you may become ineligible for future U.S. visas,” the embassy said.

It urged international students to comply with all visa requirements and maintain their lawful status as students to avoid potential complications in the future.
