Google is offering university students in Bangladesh free access to its artificial intelligence (AI) services for one year under its “Back to School” programme.
The offer will allow eligible students to use an advanced version of Google’s Gemini AI. They will also receive twice the usual usage limits for Gemini and 400GB of free cloud storage.
Students aged over 18 who are enrolled at recognised universities in Bangladesh will be eligible to apply. They will need a personal Gmail account and proof of university enrollment. A university-issued student ID card can also be used for verification.
To claim the offer, students must first sign in to their personal Gmail account and visit Google One’s student benefits page. They then need to select the option to claim the student offer and choose Bangladesh as their country.
Applicants will subsequently have to provide required information, including their name and university, and submit the documents requested by Google to complete the student verification process.
The offer also includes several new Gemini features designed to support students in their studies.
Students can upload class notes and course syllabuses to generate personalised study notes, short educational lessons and quizzes based on their materials.
Gemini can also help students track their learning progress. To make complex subjects easier to understand, students can create interactive visualisations, 3D simulations and data tables, providing additional support for learning difficult subjects such as science and mathematics.
The offer also includes access to Gemini Live and Deep Research features.
Eligible students can claim the benefit until December 31, 2026.
