Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that Hamas is following the ceasefire agreement, while accusing Israel of repeatedly violating it.

He said that discussions are ongoing about forming a joint task force involving several countries under the framework of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The talks are still in progress, and the details have not yet been finalized.

Speaking to journalists after his visits to Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman, Erdoğan said, “This is a multi-layered issue, so extensive discussions are still ongoing. We are ready to provide all kinds of assistance in Gaza. Our preparations continue.”

Turkey is emphasizing international efforts to maintain stability and uphold the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip amid Israel’s violations of the agreement.

He stated, “Hamas is adhering to the ceasefire and has clearly expressed their commitment to it. But Israel continues to violate the ceasefire in Gaza. The international community, especially the United States, must make further efforts to ensure Israel respects the ceasefire.”

Erdoğan added that diplomatic pressure on Israel must continue. Imposing sanctions and suspending arms sales could help ensure Israel complies with the ceasefire agreement.

He also noted that Turkey will play an important role in providing continuous humanitarian aid and in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. “There is no doubt that Gaza will rise again. We have not stopped sending aid through Egypt, and we will continue to do so,” he said.

He concluded, “Due to Israel’s inhumane blockade, our brothers and sisters in Gaza need everything. Now is the time not just for words, but for action.”
