Bus Crushes Pedestrians Waiting at Bus Stop in Sweden

According to local media reports, the incident occurred on Friday, 14 November, in the city center of Stockholm. A double-decker bus lost control and ran over the pedestrians and passengers waiting at the bus stop.

The Swedish police confirmed that this was not an attack. A police spokesperson said, “The incident is being investigated as involuntary manslaughter. There is no evidence to suggest this was an intentional attack.” The bus driver has been arrested. Such accidents are generally considered rare.

Police stated that the accident happened near the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). There were no passengers on the bus at the time. Upon receiving the news, police, rescue teams, and ambulances quickly arrived at the scene. Emergency service personnel rescued the injured and transported them to the hospital promptly.

A photo published on the website of local media Aftonbladet shows a blue double-decker bus surrounded by police, with debris scattered around the vehicle. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
