In a video message, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghai stated, “The lifting of sanctions is an essential and inseparable element of any nuclear agreement.” Earlier, the Fars News Agency cited Baghai confirming that sanctions relief is a non-negotiable part of any deal.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei issued a warning regarding U.S. naval presence in the Gulf region. Speaking on Tuesday, he said, “We always hear that they [the United States] have sent a warship towards Iran. A warship is undoubtedly a dangerous weapon, but weapons capable of sinking it are even more dangerous.”
Iran’s statements underscore the high tensions surrounding the nuclear negotiations and the continuing military standoff in the region.
