As the Trump administration signals a push for a peace deal with Tehran, its Gulf allies are reportedly demanding a more decisive conclusion to the month-long conflict.

According to the Washington Post, heavyweights like Saudi Arabia and the UAE are pushing Washington to ensure Iran is fully "contained" before any truce is signed. Arab officials are concerned that a premature ceasefire without stripping Iran of its missile and nuclear capabilities would only embolden Tehran.

Following billions of dollars in damages to Gulf airports and luxury infrastructure caused by Iranian drones, the sentiment in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi has shifted toward "finishing the job." UAE analysts have compared the situation to "gangrene," suggesting that the infected part must be removed to save the rest. While Oman remains a dissenting voice favoring mediation, other Gulf nations insist that the region needs a "humiliated and modest Iran" to ensure future stability in the Strait of Hormuz and beyond.
