“From the perspective of the Iranian people, we are determined to use all our strength to safeguard our national security and sovereignty,” he said. He also noted that Iranians have demonstrated their patriotism for decades and remain ready to resist external threats.

Baghaei strongly criticized recent remarks by Donald Trump, describing them as reflective of a “criminal mindset.” He warned that such statements could be interpreted as incitement to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

He further argued that threats targeting a country’s critical infrastructure or energy sector put the entire population at risk. “This is not merely a threat, but a clear indication of potential war crimes and crimes against humanity,” he said.

Analysts believe such rhetoric could further complicate the already tense relations between Iran and the United States.
