Iran has expressed its readiness to welcome any diplomatic intervention from China to de-escalate ongoing tensions with the United States.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the announcement during a press conference at the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting in New Delhi. Araghchi emphasized that Tehran views Beijing's potential mediation as a positive step toward restoring peace in the Middle East.
This statement follows President Trump's recent visit to Beijing, where regional stability was a key talking point. Regarding Pakistan's mediation efforts, Araghchi noted they have not failed, but progress remains difficult due to Washington’s "unyielding" stance. As a major buyer of Iranian oil and a strategic ally, China is now seen as a pivotal player in breaking the current diplomatic deadlock.
