KP Chief Minister Warns of 2 Million-Strong Islamabad March Over Imran Khan Meeting Ban

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi issued a stern warning to the Pakistani government, threatening to mobilize two million supporters to Islamabad on September 27 if restrictions preventing meetings with incarcerated former Prime Minister Imran Khan are not lifted.

Speaking to reporters outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail on Thursday, Afridi criticized the administration for repeatedly turning away PTI leaders and legal counsel despite explicit High Court orders permitting bi-weekly visitations.

Labeling the government's non-compliance a direct assault on the nation's judicial system, Afridi urged PTI cadres and the general public across Pakistan to prepare for massive street demonstrations and nationwide road blockades. Reaffirming Khan’s position as the country's paramount political figure, the Chief Minister asserted that resolving Pakistan's ongoing political instability hinges entirely on the release and leadership of the PTI founder, warning that the proposed march on Islamabad would serve as a decisive turning point against state overreach.
