On the eve of India's 80th Independence Day celebrations, a wave of bomb threats triggered a massive security operation across the national capital on Friday.
An email, referencing 'Khalistan', threatened coordinated blasts at multiple high-profile installations, explicitly citing the Delhi High Court and Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport Terminal-3.
The threat email detailed plans for explosions targeting at least six critical locations, including Jamnagar House, Jhandewalan Building, Saket Office, and the District Magistrate's Secretariat. Bomb disposal units and security personnel immediately launched sweeping search operations across all identified sites. While initial sweeps yielded no suspicious materials, law enforcement agencies have heightened security protocols and initiated a cyber investigation to trace the source of the communication.
