Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that Tehran will continue diplomatic engagement with Washington despite ongoing conflicts and tensions.
He clearly stated that although the United States launched military strikes against Iran three times previously while negotiations were underway, Tehran has never hesitated to engage in dialogue and will not shy away from it in the future.
Speaking at a business conference on Thursday, October 1, where he outlined Iran's political and diplomatic stance—confirmed by the semi-official Tasnim news agency—Pezeshkian told business leaders and entrepreneurs that his administration is working sincerely to overcome economic obstacles caused by sanctions and conflict.
He further noted that there is excellent coordination and mutual cooperation among Iran's top leadership and state institutions to address current crises. Additionally, despite maritime blockades and restrictions by the United States disrupting sea routes, Pezeshkian stated that Iran is not halting its progress. To keep regional trade vibrant, Tehran is making all-out efforts to expand alternative land-based import-export routes and trade volumes with neighboring countries such as Pakistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan.
