The Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA played a significant role in facilitating the repatriation of the bodies of two Bangladeshi students, Jamil Ahmed Limon and Nahida Sultana Brishti, who were victims of a brutal killing in Florida.
MUNA took the initiative to coordinate the necessary arrangements to hand over the bodies to their respective families in Bangladesh. The organization also played an active role in organizing the funeral prayers (Janazah) and managing related logistics, with support from its leaders and volunteers.
Meanwhile, the overall supervision of the process was carried out by officials from the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington, D.C., along with senior কর্মকর্তারা from the Bangladesh Consulate in Miami.
Sources said MUNA’s prompt response and coordinated efforts during this difficult time were widely appreciated within the community. Members of the organization worked closely to complete administrative procedures, arrange the Janazah, and maintain communication with the community.
Community members noted that such humanitarian initiatives provide crucial support to grieving families, especially during crises abroad.
