Islamic Singers, Poets, Writers, Literary Figures, and Media Professionals Attend Networking and Fellowship Dinner in New York

A networking and fellowship dinner bringing together Islamic singers, poets, writers, literary figures, and media professionals was held on Tuesday, July 28, at MUNA Center in Jackson Heights, New York.

The event provided an opportunity for participants to connect while highlighting the mission and future plans of the newly formed Hudson Culture Group, which aims to promote healthy cultural values, Islamic dawah, and creative cultural activities.

The program was chaired by Mominul Islam Majumder and coordinated by Abul Hashem.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Atiqul Islam Atik, followed by an introduction session for the attendees.

In his welcome remarks, Mominul Islam Majumder, President of MUNA North Zone, said that the Hudson Culture Group is committed to promoting healthy culture and positive entertainment as a means of countering the spread of harmful cultural influences. He also expressed hope that the platform would serve as an effective medium for expanding Islamic dawah through constructive cultural initiatives.

The chief guest, veteran journalist, writer, and literary figure Shamsul Kazi, spoke about the vision, objectives, and future prospects of the Hudson Culture Group. He called on everyone to work together to ensure the successful implementation of the organization's goals.

Nasir Uddin Ahmed, President of the Elmhurst Chapter, discussed the negative impact of harmful cultural trends in contemporary society and emphasized the importance of families, communities, and Islamic cultural movements in addressing these challenges.

The program concluded with a performance of the Islamic song "Tik Tik Je Ghorir Kata" by renowned Islamic singer Jibon Chowdhury. He also conducted a brief training workshop for aspiring young Islamic vocalists interested in Islamic music.

Among those in attendance were Maulana Fakhrul Islam, President of MUNA Jackson Heights Chapter; Maulana Oliur Rahman Siraji, Imam and Khatib of MUNA Center of Jackson Heights; along with leaders of the newly established Hudson Culture Group, Islamic singers, poets, writers, journalists, literary personalities, and media professionals.
