MUNA New Jersey North Chapter and MUNA Youth Participate in 7th Annual Muslim Day of Advocacy

Members of MUNA New Jersey North Chapter and MUNA Youth participated in the 7th Annual Muslim Day of Advocacy, held on Thursday, September 24, at the New Jersey State House in Trenton.

Organized by the Council on American-Islamic Relations–New Jersey (CAIR-NJ), the annual event brought together MUNA New Jersey North Chapter and several community organizations to engage with state legislators on issues affecting the Muslim community and the broader public.

During the advocacy day, participants gained firsthand insight into the legislative process while meeting with elected officials to discuss a range of topics, including civil rights, social justice, and other matters of public interest. The event also provided an opportunity for members of the Muslim community to share their perspectives directly with policymakers.

Participants said initiatives like the Muslim Day of Advocacy play an important role in strengthening civic engagement, raising community awareness, and encouraging active participation in the democratic process. They also emphasized that such events help foster collaboration between community organizations and elected representatives in addressing issues that impact local communities.
