The East Zone Young Sisters of MUNA successfully organized an Educational Leadership Camp from October 31 to November 2 at the MUNA Center of South Jersey, bringing together young Muslim women from across the East Coast for a weekend of learning, reflection, and sisterhood.

The three-day camp provided participants with an enriching environment focused on Islamic education, leadership development, and community engagement. Attendees delved into Surah Al-Waqi’ah, explored the concept of modesty in Islam, and discussed their roles as leaders and activists within the Muslim Ummah and the MUNA organization.

Through engaging workshops, group reflections, and interactive sessions, the sisters emphasized personal growth, spiritual strengthening, and the importance of working collectively as part of the Sābiqūn — those who strive to excel in faith and service.

“It was a weekend filled with learning, bonding, and spiritual motivation,” said one participant. “We left inspired to serve our communities with sincerity and to become stronger Muslim women.”

Organizers expressed gratitude for the positive turnout and the spirit of unity displayed throughout the program. They also highlighted that such initiatives are vital in nurturing future Muslim women leaders who are grounded in knowledge, faith, and activism.

As the camp concluded, participants prayed for continued growth and unity, asking Allah to accept their efforts, increase them in knowledge, strengthen their sisterhood, and keep them steadfast upon Islam.
