Sheikh Dr. Bandar Baleelah to Lead Eid-ul-Adha Prayers at Masjid al-Haram

Sheikh Bandar Baleelah has been serving as an imam of Masjid al-Haram for nearly a decade. He was born in Mecca in 1975.

He completed his graduation in Islamic law from Umm Al-Qura University and later earned a master’s degree in Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh). In 2008, he obtained a PhD from Islamic University of Madinah.

In 2013, Sheikh Bandar Baleelah was officially appointed as an imam of Masjid al-Haram. Before that, he served as imam at several other mosques in Mecca.

Every year, millions of worshippers participate in the Eid prayers and sermon at Masjid al-Haram, while the event is broadcast live to audiences around the world.
