The chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Pakpour, has issued a stern warning to enemies to avoid any "miscalculations."
In a message delivered on Thursday (January 22, 2026), Pakpour stated that his forces are ready with their "hands on the trigger" to execute the orders of the Supreme Leader. He specifically warned the US and Israel to learn from history and their experiences during the 12-day conflict last June.
This escalation comes as US President Donald Trump announced the deployment of a naval "armada," including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, to the region. While Trump stated that the US is closely monitoring Iran to prevent any untoward incidents, Tehran views this as a provocation aimed at inciting internal unrest and dragging the US into another conflict. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized Trump's rhetoric, claiming it encourages violence and serves the interests of the Zionist regime.
