President Donald Trump has said that no major or “defining” agreement was reached during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the future course of ongoing talks with Iran.

Trump did not signal any new commitments from the United States on the matter. He stated that Israel’s security interests would be fully taken into account but confirmed that Washington intends to continue diplomatic discussions with Tehran.

During their lengthy meeting at the White House on Wednesday, Netanyahu reportedly pressed Trump to adopt a tougher stance not only on Iran’s nuclear program but also on its missile development activities.

This marked the seventh meeting between Trump and Netanyahu since Trump began his second term in office last year. While describing the talks as “very good,” Trump acknowledged that no major decisions had been finalized.

Previously, U.S. and Iranian representatives held discussions in Oman over Tehran’s nuclear program, with both sides characterizing the talks as positive. However, Israel is seeking to influence the direction of any potential next round of negotiations.

Trump has warned that Iran could face military strikes if no agreement is reached. In response, Tehran has cautioned that it would retaliate against any attack. The escalating rhetoric has raised concerns about growing tensions in the Middle East.

The United States has already deployed additional naval forces and military assets to the region. Trump reiterated Washington’s unwavering commitment to Israel’s security.
