The Graduate Students Department of Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA South Zone organized a picnic and Freshers’ Reception for graduate students in Dallas, bringing together nearly 100 graduate students, professionals, family members and children.
The event was organized with the aim of welcoming newly arrived graduate students and introducing them to fellow students and members of the local Muslim community. It also provided an opportunity for current students and professionals to connect, exchange experiences and build relationships for future collaboration and support.
MUNA Dallas leaders Attorney Wahid Islam, LL.M., and Mosharraf Hossain attended the event and interacted with students and their family members. During the gathering, they emphasized the importance of achieving success in academic and professional life while remaining actively connected with the Muslim community.
Graduate student leaders Md. Mostafa, Md. Imam Hossain and Md. Mahbub Kabir Parag played key roles in organizing the event. Volunteers and other members of the community also contributed to making the program successful.
A variety of games and recreational activities were arranged for children attending the picnic. Prizes were later distributed among the participating children.
The event also featured food and refreshments, providing participants with an opportunity to socialize and strengthen community ties in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
