MUNA New England Zone Holds Educational Workshop for Members in Connecticut

The New England Zone of the Muslim Ummah of North America - MUNA organized an educational workshop for its members on Saturday, September 19, in Connecticut. The workshop was moderated by MUNA New England Zone Secretary, Mojir Uddin.

The daylong workshop was held at the MUNA Center of Connecticut in Meriden, with a range of sessions focused on Quran and Hadith memorization, Islamic knowledge, organizational development, and self-reflection.
 
The program began with an opening session, followed by a Quranic verse memorization and participatory discussion on Surah At-Tawbah, verses 24 and 111. The session was moderated by Abdul Mannan. A Hadith memorization and participatory discussion was subsequently conducted by Muhammad Shahjahan and Muyeenul Ahsan.
 
Participants later took part in a group discussion based on the book Islami Andolon: Safolyer Shartaboli (Islamic Movement: Conditions for Success). Mozir Uddin, Muhammad Shahjahan, Suhail Mahmud, Muyeenul Ahsan, Sufia Huda, and Nasrin Akter served as moderators.

Following the Dhuhr prayer and lunch break, another group discussion on the same book was held. The workshop then featured a session titled “The Desired Qualities of a MUNA Member,” presented by Br. Ahmad Abu Ubayda, National Assistant Executive Director of MUNA.

The program also included a Q&A session and a Muhasabah (self-reflection) session, giving participants an opportunity to reflect on their personal and organizational responsibilities.
 
The workshop concluded with remarks and dua led by the New England Zone President.
