Plane Crashes at Lincoln Airport in Montana, All Passengers Feared Dead

A plane has crashed in the United States, with authorities fearing that all passengers on board may have perished. However, officials have not yet confirmed the number of casualties.

Local media outlets KRTV and Montana Television Network (MTN) reported that emergency responders received news of the crash near Lincoln, Montana, on Saturday morning. Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dalton stated that the incident appears to have occurred at Lincoln Airport.

According to Dalton, the aircraft caught fire, and local volunteer firefighters have reached the scene. The status of the pilot and potential passengers remains unknown. Dalton added that the situation is still developing and initial reports may change.

Later, Dalton noted that it seems unlikely anyone survived the crash. The number of people on board and their identities are still being determined, and the type of aircraft has not yet been confirmed.

Representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration are on-site to investigate, working alongside the sheriff’s office, the Montana Department of Transportation, and the National Transportation Safety Board. Emergency teams continue rescue operations and may deploy additional personnel if needed.
