Trump Calls for Arrest and Death Penalty for Six Democratic Lawmakers

President Donald Trump on Thursday leveled grave accusations against six Democratic lawmakers.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, he labeled them “traitors” and accused them of being involved in “the highest level of treasonous behavior.”
Trump claimed they “should be arrested immediately and put on trial,” adding that their actions “could be a death-penalty offense.”

The incident stems from a video released on Tuesday. In the video, Senator Elissa Slotkin and five other senators urge U.S. service members and intelligence officials to reject “illegal orders” and uphold their constitutional oath. The message, they said, was driven by concerns over domestic threats.

After the video went viral, Trump reacted sharply, alleging that such statements “could encourage the military to revolt.” He also described it as a threat to national security.
