According to the report, the White House is finalizing the necessary documents to formally add the Muslim Brotherhood to its list of terrorist organizations. Washington says the move is being considered due to the group’s alleged propaganda activities against US and allied interests, as well as its support for Hamas. As a result, the organization’s branches in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan are also expected to be labeled as terrorist groups.
The Muslim Brotherhood is already blacklisted in several countries, including Egypt. The organization often operates covertly across different regions. Founded in 1928 by Islamic scholar Hassan al-Banna, the Muslim Brotherhood has evolved into both a political party and a social organization, with branches spread across numerous Middle Eastern nations.
