U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have extended their heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a statement released this Friday, the President highlighted the significance of the festival as a time for spiritual reflection and a reminder of America’s commitment to religious freedom.
President Trump noted that Eid serves as a vital occasion for families and communities to gather following the holy month of Ramadan. As the United States celebrates Eid today, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) reported that over 5,000 congregations are being held across 3,500 mosques, open fields, and community centers.
Bangladeshi-run mosques in major states like New York, Texas, and California are also hosting over 300 major congregations, drawing large numbers of expatriates. The President’s message reaffirmed his administration's support for the religious rights and cultural contributions of Muslim Americans during this festive season.
