U.S. Deploys Special Forces to Middle East Amid Iran Tensions

Hundreds of U.S. special operations personnel, including Navy SEALs and Army Rangers, have been deployed to the Middle East, according to CBS News.

The report also states that thousands of American Marines and paratroopers are already in the region.

Sources say the deployment of these elite forces is intended to give President Donald Trump a range of military options regarding Iran.

Potential plans under consideration reportedly include securing the Strait of Hormuz, taking control of oil operations on Kharg Island, and seizing Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles.

However, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) declined to comment on these developments.

Earlier, CENTCOM confirmed that approximately 3,500 sailors and Marines had arrived in the Middle East aboard the USS Tripoli.
