A recent assessment by American intelligence agencies indicates that Iran still maintains substantial missile-launching capability despite weeks of sustained attacks.

According to three sources who spoke to CNN, Iran’s military strength has not been fully neutralized even after five weeks of continuous strikes by the United States and Israel.

Key Findings from Intelligence Reports

Intelligence data suggests that nearly half of Iran’s missile launchers remain intact. In addition, the country still possesses thousands of one-way attack drones, representing roughly 50% of its original drone capacity.

One source noted that Iran continues to have the ability to cause significant damage across the region. While some launchers were hit and buried underground during strikes, they are believed to be damaged but not completely destroyed.

The report also highlights that a large portion of Iran’s coastal defense cruise missiles remains operational. These weapons are considered a major threat to shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit chokepoint.

Contrast with Public Statements

This intelligence assessment presents a somewhat different picture from recent public statements. Former US President Donald Trump claimed in a recent speech that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities had been significantly reduced, with weapons factories and launchers largely destroyed.

However, intelligence findings suggest that Iran’s military capabilities are far from fully disabled, indicating a more complex and potentially volatile situation than publicly described.
