Donald Trump has declared that the United States will directly participate in extracting Iran’s enriched uranium reserves and prevent the country from ever enriching uranium again. He made the announcement in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Trump stated that during a B-2 bomber strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities in June 2025, radioactive dust was dispersed, which will now be safely removed. He added that Space Force satellites have been monitoring the affected areas continuously, and nothing has been disturbed there since the attack.
Although Iran’s current government remains in place, Trump claimed that a “regime change” has occurred, and that the U.S. is now working closely with Tehran.
He also noted that discussions are ongoing with Iran regarding the removal of tariffs and sanctions. However, Trump reiterated that any country supplying military equipment to Iran will face an immediate 50% tariff on all exports to the United States, with no exceptions.
Trump’s post further claimed that Iran has agreed to most points of the 15-point U.S. plan for ending hostilities. This has caused some confusion, as previously he had stated that negotiations would be based on Iran’s 10-point proposal, but he now appears to prioritize Washington’s 15-point framework.
So far, Iran has not formally accepted any of these demands, and final negotiations on these issues are expected to take place during formal talks set to begin this Friday.
