The White House has confirmed that Iran has submitted a revised proposal, which is being treated as a workable basis for renewed discussions between the two countries.

White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt told reporters that while Iran’s previous 10-point proposal was unacceptable, the new submission aligns closely with the US 15-point framework. A key US demand was the complete halt of uranium enrichment inside Iran, which the revised proposal reportedly includes.

Leavitt also stated that Iran has requested a ceasefire and agreed to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. She added that recent US military operations have weakened Iran’s naval and air capabilities.

According to the White House, talks between the two parties are scheduled to begin on Saturday in Pakistan. However, issues related to Lebanon will not be part of the discussions, a point the United States has made clear.

Separately, Donald Trump emphasized that Israeli military actions in Lebanon are outside the scope of this agreement. Previously, Iran had warned that it might withdraw from the ceasefire if attacks in Lebanon continued.
