Former U.S. intelligence chief John Brennan has called for the removal of current President Donald Trump, describing him as “mentally unfit” and a potential threat to national security.
In a recent television interview, Brennan said that some of Trump’s provocative remarks—particularly regarding Iran—pose risks to global stability. He warned that such statements from a sitting president could endanger both U.S. national security and international peace.
Brennan argued that the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution was specifically designed for situations in which a president becomes unable to carry out the duties of the office. According to him, Trump’s behavior raises concerns that align with the kind of incapacity addressed by the amendment.
Brennan previously served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency during the administration of former President Barack Obama. Following his remarks, discussions about the possibility of removing Trump from office have resurfaced in the United States.
